FGM explained at Gatwick

In a move to raise awareness of Female Gentile Mutilation Police held a workshop for people employed at Gatwick Airport.
The workshop took place on Wednesday this week in the hope of highlighting the issue and explaining the signs to identify victims.
People heard about the procedure, which is mostly performed on young girls, predominantly from African, Asian and Middle Eastern communities and also listened to the story of a survivor of FGM.
