Up to 13,000 extra school places needed in Surrey

Surrey needs to find £215 million over the next five years to provide for the expected 13, 000 school places needed.

Surrey taxpayers make a contribution of £6 billion to the national Exchequer annually but receive less than £1bn back.

Almost 3,000 extra school places will be made by the next academic year.
This September, more than 4-thousand-1-hundred extra places were created in time for the start of the academic year.
