Be Polite on Halloween Night

“Be polite on Halloween night!” – that’s the message from Surrey and Sussex police in the run up to Friday.

Both Halloween and Bonfire night tend to attract more anti-social behaviour than usual, often leaving the elderly and vulnerable feeling intimidated or frightened.

Although the majority of people out and about are there to have a good time without causing any problems, police are reminding people to be considerate.

They advise parents to supervise young children; whereas older children are advised to stay in a group with their friends; agree a destination and a time when they will return home.

Halloween Posters are also available to download from the Sussex Police website either welcoming visits from trick or treaters, or asking them not to call.

Local neighbourhood policing teams will also be running increased patrols.
