Dorking targeted by fraudsters

Residents of Mole Valley are being urged to remain vigilant following attempted fraud.

People living in Dorking have been targeted by con artists trying to trick them into handing over money.

The first incident happened off Holmesdale Road at lunchtime on 30th December when a woman was confronted by a man requesting her bank details.

Another fraud attempt was made at Nat West bank in Dorking the following morning.  On that occasion bank staff prevented a request for money.  The victim had approached the front desk saying she had received a call asking her to withdraw £10,000.

Surrey Police are continuing their investigations.
