Man Jailed for Crawley Driving Death

A man was jailed for seven years on Friday (28 August) for causing death by dangerous driving after he lost control of his car in Crawley.

Minesh Parbat from Maidenbower was driving his BMW sports car along Crawley Avenue in the early hours of Sunday the 9th of March last year when it left the road and collided with a fence.

His passenger, girlfriend Lisa Watling, was thrown from the car and sadly died later in hospital from her injuries.

Parbat was also over the drink-drive limit received a three-and-a-half year driving ban which he’ll serve when released from prison.
