Surrey Drives To Recruit More Children’s Social Workers

Social workers in Surrey are being offered incentive payments of up to £15,000 as part of the county council’s efforts to attract more to work.

New recruits to Surrey’s children’s services will receive £7,000 spread over the first four years of working for the council.

On top of a £2,000 starter payment, they will get £2,500 on each of their third and fourth anniversaries.

The campaign is particularly targeting experienced social workers considering the next step in their career. More information about Surrey’s training and rewards package can be found on the council’s website.
