Inspired by Wimbledon? Why not give tennis a try?

Have you been inspired by Andy Murray’s latest Wimbledon success and want to try your hand at tennis? Well now you can as later this month Horley Lawn Tennis Club will be holding a club open day on the 23rd July as part of the Great British Tennis Weekend in association with the Lawn Tennis Association. The event is one of many being held by tennis clubs in the Susy Radio area over the next few weeks and is open to anyone thinking of trying something new or picking up a racquet again if they have previously enjoyed playing tennis.

The Horley Lawn Tennis Club coaches will be helping juniors in hourly sessions, split for different age groups, from 9.30am until 12.30pm with adults getting their chance between 2pm and 5pm. The afternoon will comprise of three hourly taster sessions and some racquets are available if required.

There are limited spaces available for the coaching sessions. There is an option to join club members in a free play session as well as the chance to see the club facilities and enjoy the traditional club tea and cake refreshments from 3pm.
