Petition calling for Surrey Council’s Chief Executive position to be abolished

A petition has been set up calling for the position of Chief Executive at Surrey County Council to be abolished.

The post, currently held by David McNulty, pays £216,000 – more than the Prime Minister’s £142,000.  It also says the need to pay anyone over £50,000 a year must be examined.

It’s in response to the Council’s proposal to raise income tax by 15% to pay for social care.
