More strikes on Southern Rail

A one-day strike has been announced by the RMT on Southern Rail.

It’s after discussions ended between the Union and the operator on Tuesday without a deal.

Conductors will walk out for 24 hours next Wednesday over the long-running disagreement about guards on the trains.

Nick Brown the CEO of Govia Thameslink, the parent company of Southern says, “we aim to run as full service as we can.”
