WW2 weapon handed to police in Reigate

A bomb disposal van was called to Reigate last week.

It was a precautionary measure after an unknown object was handed into to officers working on the front counter of the police station.

The item was identified as a World War Two training round for a bazooka.

Police ask residents to continue to inform them of any concerns with suspicious items, but advise you to call them and they will come to you.
