Surrey petitioned to allow child with special needs attend local school

Over 400 people have petitioned Surrey Council to allow a child with special needs attend a local school.

Alfie, from Lingfield, has Autism and Hypermobility, and lives with his Mum Kayleigh Duggan, who’s told Get Surrey it’s an ‘uphill struggle’ to get her son into the £80,000 a year St. Piers school – despite a place being available.

Instead, the Council’s suggested Aurora Re-de-hall School, in Smallfield, more than 25 minutes away.

Surrey says they’re working towards a solution.
