Norovirus closes ward at East Surrey Hospital

A ward at East Surrey Hospital has been closed to visitors after an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

It is to prevent infections spreading in The Holmwood ward.

The virus, which is linked to the norovirus, is highly contagious and the most common stomach bug in the UK, with around a million people getting it each year.
