A man has been released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of assault in East Grinstead.

Police want to speak to two men who intervened when a woman was grabbed around the neck on Sunday afternoon in Cantelupe Road.

PC Neil Twelves said: “We are keen to talk to these two men, who we believe were builders, who saw the incident and intervened.”

Anyone else who saw the incident is being asked to contact the Police on 101.
