Police in Crawley made two arrests after a motorcycle pursuit on Thursday afternoon. 

A motorcyclist and passenger were followed and traced with the help of a police helicopter after they failed to stop for officers.  The motorcycle sped away from officers seeking to make a routine check in Brighton Road in Crawley. It was followed through nearby streets before being abandoned in the Southgate area less than an hour later. 

A man aged 18 and a boy aged 17 were arrested nearby on suspicion of dangerous driving and other driving offences. They have since been released under investigation.
