Teenager Jailed After Serious Injury Collision In Limpsfield In 2018

A teenager has been jailed for 20 months following a serious injury collision in Limpsfield last year.

18 year old Jason Shaw from Lingfield pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving.  He also pleaded guilty for failing to provide a specimen for analysis. As well as a custodial sentence, he was given a 70 month driving ban with an extended test requirement.

Shaw was travelling on the wrong side of the road on a blind bend, and collided head-on with a Ford S-Max travelling in the opposite direction on Pollards Wood Hill in October last year.

Both Shaw and his passenger suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision and were taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting.
