A murder charge has been authorised following the death of a woman in an house fire in Crawley last year. 

A 53 year old woman died in a fire at a flat in Warren Lane in July 2018. Two local men who were also inside the property when police arrived, were arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation.

Following new evidence Louis Navarre of Blackwater Lane was re-arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday last week and has since been charged.  The second suspect was released without charge.
