Surrey libraries are to be modernised to ensure that they remain open. 

Over the next 12-18 months, Surrey County Council will be working with local communities, partners and users of the library service to maintain a service.  The Council has proposed various options. These include maximising the use of technology, using a click and collect service so that users can collect and return books at convenient places, and investment in a Library Plus service where larger libraries would host other services.  Some less well used and smaller libraries may be relocated to existing community spaces.
