Household Waste Permit For Vans, Pickups, And Trailers

Charges are now in place for those who use vans, pickups or trailers to take household waste to a Surrey community recycling centre.

The annual charge of £8.50 came into effect from the beginning of this month. Those who have not renewed and paid for a permit will be refused entry.  Applications for a permit can be made online via Surrey County Council’s website.

The restriction of van, pickup and trailer access is to prevent traders from leaving waste which they should pay to dispose of.  Non-household waste such as from DIY projects or business waste, can only be accepted at waste transfer stations in Epsom, Guildford and Leatherhead.
