National Volunteers’ Week: Both Surrey CC and Susy Radio Chairman Thank Volunteers

Appreciation has been shown to the many volunteers in Surrey, as this week marks National Volunteers’ Week. 

Surrey County Council has thanked volunteers who have stepped forward during the Coronavirus pandemic to help in tasks such as collecting prescriptions, and answering helplines.  Across Surrey, there are almost 11,000 registered volunteers.  7,000 volunteers have forward through the Volunteer Centres alone, compared to 800 this time last year. 

Susy Radio is among the local organisations run by volunteers.  The community radio station serves listeners in north Sussex and east Surrey.  Chairman Alan French has thanked Susy Radio’s volunteers:
