Some ‘A’ Level students still uncertain about University places

Some ‘A’ level students are still working to find out whether they have got their university places after the Government’s u-turn on results.

On Monday, officials announced that GCSE and A level students would be awarded their teacher predicted grades, rather than those given by a controversial algorithm which had downgraded about 40% of ‘A’ level results nationwide.

The cap on university admissions has also been lifted in an attempt to help students who lost their places.
