New NHS remote monitoring service for people with dementia

People with dementia and their carers can now sign up for a free of charge NHS remote monitoring service.

Users are provided with easy to use devices that track a person’s vital statistics including temperature, pulse and oxygen saturation. If any of the readings indicate there could be an issue, an alert is flagged on a centralised system which is followed up by a monitoring team.

Anyone who is interested in this service can find details on how to apply on the following link:

or they can call the Monitoring Team on 0800 448 0786 or email them at rxx.tihm2@nhs.net.
