Police appeal following series of catalytic converter thefts

Three men used an electric saw to steal catalytic converters from cars in a daylight raid in Epsom.

The trio struck at around 11am on Monday in the Sainsbury’s car park. A member of the public who attempted to intervene was threatened with a metal pole.

Police described the suspects as white, in their mid-thirties and of stocky build. They arrived and left the scene in a dark grey Honda CR-V.
A Surrey Police spokesman said:
“The car park was busy at the time of the incident and we believe that there will be multiple witnesses. If you saw anything suspicious, or recognise the car and suspects described, please contact us quoting PR/45200097499.”
