Man Arrested at Gatwick For Fraud By False Representation

Police at Gatwick Airport want to hear from passengers at any UK airports who have been approached by a man asking for cash.

Officers arrested a man earlier in the month on suspicion of fraud by false representation after passengers in the North Terminal were approached and asked for money.  A similar report was received at the end of August after a passenger handed over cash to a man who said he was a language teacher who had just arrived from Germany and needed the money for a bus fare to get home.

The man has been released on police bail until the 8th October while enquiries continue.
