Crawley Town’s biggest win so far tops winning weekend for local teams

Crawley Town celebrated their biggest win of the season so far when they beat Morecambe 4-0 at the weekend.

Despite being 0-0 at half time George Francombe found the net for the Reds after ten minutes back on the pitch. This was followed by two goals from substitute Max Watters before Tyler Frost completed the scoring at 77 minutes.

Head Coach John Yems says they played well but an injury meaning Max Watter came on did have its advantage.

It was a similarly good win for Horley Town who put away eight goals against Hassocks taking them to the top of the Southern Combination League.

Three Bridges continued the local winning streak by beating Chipstead 2-1.

While South Park also scored four goals on Saturday, this was matched by their opponents Staines Town meaning they came away with a draw.

It wasn’t such a good weekend for Redhill, they went down 3-1 against Camberley Town.
