The M25 was closed after a crash between a car, an ambulance and an HGV in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The collision happened just before 3.30am on the anticlockwise carriageway between junctions 8 and 9. The driver of the car, a black BMW, was taken to hospital after suffering serious leg injuries in the incident.

The motorway was shut until noon between junctions 8 and 10.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or the preceding moments. Anyone with dashcam or headcam footage is asked to get in touch with officers by calling 101 quoting reference PR/20244107.
