Surrey Police Safety Advice For Trick or Treaters

Surrey Police has urged residents to follow safety advice before trick or treating during the pandemic.

They ask trick or treaters to avoid cold-calling houses and check with the occupants first.  Houses should be avoided where people are shielding.  Hand sanitiser should be carried and communal buckets of sweets should be avoided.

To ensure responsible trading, Surrey Police is working with Surrey Fire and Rescue and Trading Standards during Halloween and Bonfire Night to target anti-social behaviour.  They are working with local businesses, asking shops not to sell large quantities of flour and eggs to those they suspect will use them to damage property.
