Man admits stealing from store where he worked

A 33-year-old man has been convicted of stealing thousands of pounds worth of jewellery from his employer at Gatwick airport.

Romario Lawson had worked at an airside Jeweller outlet at the South Terminal in December 2019.

During his brief employment, staff noticed high value items had gone missing. The matter was reported to Sussex Police.

Lawson was sentenced to a 16-month suspended prison sentence, 40 hours of unpaid work and to attend 12 rehabilitation sessions.
