Covid-19 signage installed in Crawley town centre in June 2020 has been removed by the Council.

Metal signs, floor vinyls and lamppost wraps showed messages about distancing, mask wearing and contactless payments.  They remained in place during further restrictions over the past two years to make retail spaces safe for the return of shoppers.

Crawley Borough Council’s Neighbourhood Services Team has been removing all of the signs over the past few days.  Councillor Atif Nawaz said the ’removal of the signage is a powerful visual message demonstrating that Crawley is well on the road to recovery’.
