Dorking Wanderers FC Offer To Purchase Freehold of Home Ground

Dorking Wanderers Football Club’s offer to purchase the freehold of its home ground will be discussed at Mole Valley District Council’s Scrutiny Committee next week.

Meadowbank community football facilities are owned by the Council and leased to the Surrey County Football Association.  The site is used by other sports clubs as well as soft play and cafe facilities on the site.

The Council has issued an update after a number posts appeared on social media about the situation; it states the exact details of the financial offer must remain confidential.  The Council says any sale would require the consent of the two sporting bodies that contributed to the construction of the facilities, and there would be a condition for ongoing community use of the football stadium.
