A Redhill care home resident marked her 100th birthday in style after receiving one hundred cards from children at a nearby school.
Georgina Reeves, a resident at Acorn Court Care Home received the cards from pupils at Warlingham School to mark the big day. The cards were created as part of the Postcards of Kindness initiative run by Age UK. She also received a card from The King and Queen Consort.
Georgina was in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War where she met her husband. When asked about the secret to her longevity, Georgina said that “laughter is the best medicine” and she “doesn’t take anything too seriously”.
