Recipe for Success: Annie Whitmore chats to The Ashley Centre

Do you have a favourite recipe that you’d like to share with Surrey residents?

An exciting new publication is being put together by The Ashley Centre in Epsom.

The Centre’s publicity officer Mary Zoeller spoke to our presenter Annie Whitmore about this special type of recipe book which will benefit local charities, the Epsom Guide Dog Fundraising & Donations and the Sunny Bank Trust.

There were some problems with the phone line which added to the fun!

How to make the most of Veganuary

Local resident and businesswoman, Rachel Lowe of the vegan food website lovedandenough.com, chats with Susy Radio’s Tess Lewsey about Veganuary (vee-gan-uary), an international initiative to encourage people to try tasty vegan food for the month of January, and hopefully beyond. Around 150 thousand people in the UK are expected to participate in 2018.

At the end of January, she will be releasing a budget meal plan which will be available FREE, so if anyone would like to sign up to her website, they will hear about this programme when it is released.

Susy Radio’s special Christmas Day broadcast of The Horley Singers Christmas concert from Horley Methodist Church and introduced by Neil Munday is now available to Listen On Demand on susyradio.com.

The Christmas Concert was a mixture of festive songs performed by the Horley Singers with congregational carols for everybody to sing along with raised funds for After Breast Cancer Group.

Dorking panto stars Chris Maloney and Gemma Oaten chat to Susy

X Factor star Chris Maloney and ex-Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten along with the full cast of Sleeping Beauty at the Dorking Halls.

The cast of Dorking’s Sleeping Beauty pantomime took time out between shows to chat with Susy Radio’s Dave King. X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother star Christopher Maloney spoke of this years panto experience and his upcoming 2018 National tour while ex-Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten told how she is getting to grips with playing the pantomime villain for a change.

They were joined by the rest of the cast, Adam Shorey, Dan Joyce, Eloise Birch, Kathleen McNamara and ‘Dame and Director’ Nicholas Collett who gave an insight into the how the cast pull together to get through a tough but enjoyable schedule over the Christmas period.

Susy Radio to broadcast The Horley Singers Christmas concert

On Saturday 16th December Horley Methodist Church held an afternoon Christmas Concert with a mixture of festive songs performed by the Horley Singers and congregational carols for everybody to join in.
Admission was free but a raffle and collection raised funds for After Breast Cancer Group.

Edited highlights of the afternoon Carol Concert, presented by Neil Munday, will be broadcast exclusively on Susy Radio 103.4 at 1.00pm on Christmas Day. It will also be available to Listen On Demand on susyradio.com from 3pm on Christmas Day.
