Antiques stolen in Oxted

Antiques worth hundreds of pounds have been stolen in Oxted.

Thieves broke into the house in East Hill Road last month and made off with several collectable articles, which have been described as distinctive.

Police are asking people to check their website for pictures of the pieces which they believe could be listed for resale.

Houses broken into in Godstone

Several houses in Godstone were broken into during one night last month.

A number of items were stolen, including a newborn baby’s bracelet made from her late father’s wedding ring.

Police are urging anyone who has been offered any suspicious jewellery for sale to contact them.

Two brothers sentenced to jail after threatening Reigate family at their home

Two brothers have been jailed for five years for breaking into a Reigate family’s home and saying they would kill them.

18-year-old Harry and 20-year-old Charlie Stockwell broke into the house on Alexander Road in October and threatened the five occupants with a BB-gun and broken blade.

The two also smashed windows and damaged the family’s car outside before being arrested by Police.
