Children may have picked up gun ammo dumped after robbery

It’s feared children may have picked up live shotgun cartridges dumped at a derelict site in Copthorne.

Police were called after they were found by a member of the public at Holly Farm, just off the A264 Copthorne Way.  It’s possible they were stolen during a robbery in Charlwood on Sunday.

Investigators were informed kids had left the area with some of the ammunition and parents are being asked to speak to their children while assuring them they won’t be in trouble.
