Closure Order Issued For Horsham Flat

A property in Horsham, associated with incidents of anti-social behaviour has been shut down under a closure order.  

A closure order under the Anti Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act of 2014 was heard before Horsham Magistrates’ Court last week.  It prevents any person from entering the premises on Park Way in Horsham.  

Police had become aware of anti-social behaviour and criminal activities, including drug taking, being conducted at the property.

Football Update

Crawley Town move up to 14th place in League 2 following their 2-0 win at home to Barnet on Saturday.  The Reds have won three games on the bounce.

In the Bostik Premier Division, Merstham gained a point drawing 2-2 away to Enfield Town.  Liam Harwood scored the equaliser in the 87th minute.

In the Bostik South Division, South Park are in 9th place after winning 2-1 at home to Thamesmead Town. Close behind them in 11th place, Horsham won 2-0 away to Whyteleafe.  East Grinstead won 1-0 at home to Ramsgate.

In the Southern Combination Premier Division, Three Bridges won 4-0 at home to Crawley Down Gatwick.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division it was 1-1 for Redhill against Camberley Town and the same for Horley Town who were at home to Farnham.

Collision Between Car and Pedestrian in Redhill

A pedestrian was taken to hospital on Friday after being hit by a car on the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Linkfield Street in Redhill.  

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.  The driver of the car, a white Toyota Yaris, was unharmed.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call Surrey Police on 101.

Last minute win for Reds in hard game

Crawley Town’s Assistant Coach Warren Feeney admitted they made hard work of Tuesday’s 4-3 win over Eastbourne Borough.

The Reds scored a penalty in extra time putting them through to the semi-final of the Sussex Senior Cup – but Feeney says defensively they conceded some very poor goals.

They now face Lancing – the date of which will be announced shortly.
