Finances of company running Gatwick immigration centres being investigated

The finances of G4S, who run two immigration centres near Gatwick, is being investigated

The Home Office is looking into claims made by an ex-manager that the security firm gave inaccurate financial information during a home affairs select committee last week.

During the meeting, a G4S executive refused to tell MPs how much profit they make from their Brook House Centre – but deny deliberately giving false information.

The company has recently suspended 9 members of staff after footage for Panorama showed detainees at Brook House being mocked, abused and assaulted along with rife drug use and attempted suicides.
