Meeting to discuss abolishing Council’s Chief Executive position

A meeting next week will look at whether the position of the Chief Executive at Surrey Council should be abolished.

It’s due to a petition gaining enough signatures on the issue, meaning it can now be discussed at County Hall.

It also calls for the need to pay anyone over £50,000 a year to be examined.

More information on the petition can be found here: http://petitions.surreycc.gov.uk/chief-executive/#detail
