Talks to resolve Southern dispute ‘stall’

Talks aimed at resolving the long-running dispute over driver-only trains on Southern have ‘stalled’ with no agreement says the RMT.

The union’s General Secretary Mick Cash has now called for round-table discussions involving all parties, saying with a ‘fresh approach’ he has ‘no doubt’ a resolution can be found.

The plans to get both the RMT and ASLEF in negotiations with Govia Thames Link and the Department of Transport will now be taken to Minister Chris Grayling.

Crawley Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre is Transformed

An £8,000,000 project to transform urgent care at Crawley Hospital is now complete.

The refurbishment of the Urgent Treatment Centre is part of NHS Crawley Clinical Commissioning Group’s plan to provide care closer to home, and is the final stage of a wider project to transform urgent care.  The transformation was intended to improve patient experience by providing modern, airy and colourful facilities. The UTC is a walk-in service, open 24/7 365 days a year which treats injuries or illnesses that are urgent but not life threatening, such as chest infections, broken bones, and minor head and eye injuries.

A primary care walk-in service is also open from 8am until 8pm every day.
