Union says it has a plan to end dispute over driver-only-trains

Union leaders claim they have a plan that could end the long-running dispute over driver-only-trains on Southern.

They’re due to meet with MPs where they’ll outline their ‘accessibility guarantee’, which will ensure an on-board supervisor on all trains for a 6-month trial period to help disabled, elderly and vulnerable passengers board without having to book in advance.

Southern says it’ll comment once it’s seen the plan.
