Bewbush Play Area

Crawley Borough Council is working to improve the play area at Lutyens Close in Bewbush.

The scheme will be an opportunity to include new facilities and improve the quality of play for children in the area.

Council officers will be at the play area on the 7 June from 4.30-6.30pm to answer any questions and find out which design residents prefer.

Plans of all options will be available at this event.

Play Area at Pound Hill Crawley

Crawley Borough Council is working with residents and councillors to make improvements to the play area at Oak Path in Pound Hill.

The new scheme will be an opportunity to include new facilities and improve the quality of play for children in the area.

The council is holding consultation events at the play area in Oak Path on Monday 16 May from 6-7pm and on Saturday 21 May from 10-11am.

Residents will choose from 4 short listed design. These can be seen on the council’s website: www.crawley.gov.uk/poundhill

Support and Advice for Local Carers

Clinical nurse Specialists at East Surrey Hospital are working with charities in Sussex and Surrey to help local carers by giving support and Advice.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, invites carers’ to come to an event on the 9th of June East Surrey Hospital between 10.30am to 2.30pm.

At the event a number of local charities and organisations will be on hand to offer advice to carers.

Carers who are family, friends, parents or partners caring for someone with any issues are welcome.

Crawley Man Jailed For Sex Attacks

A Crawley man has been jailed for sexual attacks on teenage girls.

Verol Wynter, who used to live in Crawley,but now lives East London, appeared at Brighton Crown Court last thursday and was sentenced to a total of three years.

In February he was found guilty of three counts of sexual assaults, in Crawley.

He will be a registered sex offender for life and was issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Injured Crawley Man

Emergency services were called to building works in Crawley today after an accident happened there.

Ambulances, Fire and Rescue crew and Police were called to the building works in Queen’s Square at 10 to eleven on Tuesday morning after reports of a man falling two floors in a Lift shaft, trapping his leg.

Bus routes have been temporarily reset away from the scene and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.

There are currently no details as to the injured man’s condition.
