Brewster joins Horsham FC

In Football Craig Brewster has been made Director of Football for Horsham FC

The old Crawley Town coach will work with Dominic Di Paola  to develop Horsham’s successful age-group sides. 

The former striker recently worked under Derek Adams at Plymouth Argyle, where he was assistant manager until January last year.

Non-league Horsham sit top of the Premier Division, having been promoted earlier this year.

 

Football Update

In League 2 Crawley Town lost 1-0 at home to Exeter on Saturday.

Merstham slip to 19th place in the Isthmian Premier Division after losing 3-0 away to Cheshunt.

In the South East Division, Three Bridges won 4-1 at home to Hythe Town.  East Grinstead remain bottom of the table after their 1-1 draw at home to Burgess Hill Town.

South Park lost their South Central match 1-0 at home to Uxbridge.

Horley Town are in fourth place in the Southern Combination Premier Division after winning 3-0 at home to top of the table Eastbourne United.

Redhill’s match at home to Balham was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Football Update

In League 2, Crawley Town drew 1-1 at home to Morecombe on Saturday.  

Horsham remain top of the Isthmian Premier Division table after winning 2-0 away to Potters Bar.  Merstham lost 2-1 away to Bognor Regis.

Despite gaining a point in their goalless draw away to Whyteleafe, East Grinstead remain bottom of the Isthmian South East Division table.  Just one place above them, Three Bridges lost 1-0 away to Faversham.  Faversham scored in the 90th minute.

South Park lost their South Central Division match 5-0 away to Barking.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division, Redhill won 4-0 against Hanworth Villa at Kiln Brow.

Horley Town’s away match against Saltdean United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Football Update

Crawley Town rediscovered their winning ways on Saturday.  The Reds won their first round FA Cup tie 4-1 at home to Scunthorpe and march on to the second round for the first time in 6 years.

Horsham move to the top of the Isthmian League Premier Division after winning 4-0 at home to Bowers and Pitsea.  Chris Smith scored a hat trick.

In the South East division, East Grinstead lost 1-0 at home to Faversham Town.  South Park lost their South Central division match 4-1 away to FC Romania.

Redhill won 4-1 away to CB Hounslow United on Saturday.  Horley Town’s away match against Peacehaven and Telscombe was abandoned at half time following a floodlight failure due to a power cut.

Football Update

In football:

Bez Lubala’s eighth goal of the season was in vain as Crawley Town conceded twice in the last seven minutes on Saturday.  The Reds lost their League 2 match 2-1 away to Cambridge United.

Horsham made their second trip to Haringey in just seven days.  After crashing out to Haringey in last week’s FA Trophy tie, the Hornets won 2-1 in their Isthmian League Premier Division match and remain in second place in the table.

In the South East Division, Three Bridges lost 1-0 away to Cray Valley, and East Grinstead Town lost 3-1 away to Herne Bay.

Redhill are out of the FA Vase after losing 3-1 away to Binfield in their second round tie.

Merstham and South Park’s matches were both postponed.
