Crawley Town FC Pre-Season Friendlies

Crawley Town Football Club has added another pre-season friendly to the schedule; this time against recently promoted Fulham.  It will take place on 7th July at Fulham’s training ground behind closed doors with no public access.

Crawley Town also take on Norwich City on 12th July at their training ground again with no public access.  Coverage for both of these fixtures will be via the Reds’ social media channels on the day.

Two other friendlies have been arranged more locally to take place at East Court, home of East Grinstead Town; Crawley will take on Ipswich Town on 17th July and Charlton Athletic on 21st July. Admission prices for these two games will be announced soon.

Pitch Improvement Work At Crawley Town FC’s Checkatrade Stadium

Work began at the weekend on Crawley Town Football Club’s biggest pitch improvement project in the Club’s 21 year history.

Contractors Premier Pitches moved in on Friday to start renovation works at the Checkatrade Stadium just after completing a project at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium earlier last week.  The Checkatrade Stadium will be hosting Brighton and Hove Albion women’s matches next season; as part of that commitment, Brighton have made a considerable financial donation to the renovation.

Due to the scale of the work involved, the Reds will be unable to stage a pre-season game until the end of July.

Football Update

Crawley Town Football Club has made new contract offers to three players.  Options have been taken up on the contracts for Enzio Boldewijn, Yusuf Mersin and Dannie Bulman.  Those who are out of contract and will not be offered new terms by the club are Billy Clifford, Kaby Djalo, Josh Lelan and Jordan Roberts.  Cedric Evina and Karlan Ahearne-Grant have returned to their parent clubs at the end of their loan spells.

Former East Grinstead Town club captain, Callum Emptage has become the first player to sign for East Grinstead for next season in the new Bostik League South East.  Emptage who played for the Wasps in 2015/16 was originally with Gillingham, Hastings United and more recently Hythe Town and Sheppey United.
