Chrissy hopped on the train from Gatwick to East Croydon, Surrey to check out the first ‘CroCroLand’ Music festival on the 6th April, catch DJ Peter Fox who kept the music going with his skills in between the bands, and Chrissy review the amazing event and hear tracks from some of the bands.

The day after the event, Foxy was hanging with none other than Croydon’s hero Captain Sensible.
The Captain has been recording locally at Panther Studios with Paul Gray, Bass player for the Damned and Local Drummer, Marty Love, from the Weird things and Johnny Moped.

Annie Whitmore talks to St. Catherine’s Hospice

St. Catherine’s Hospice provides care for people in East Surrey and West Sussex when life comes full circle. It could not operate without ongoing support from the community.

Annie Whitmore spoke to the charity’s Legacy Officer Andy Perry about the many services it provides and the planned new hospice development.

The first ‘On the Front Foot’ of 2019 sees Tim Bowling and David Jay discussing local cricket before they’re joined by Stuart Warren and Trevor Stevens from Horley CC. Stuart reports on progress at Horley, then Trevor joins Tim and David to talk over last winter, and prospects for the coming season at home, in the professional game. OTFF returns on Thursday May 2nd at 7pm with guest Dan Feist of Merstham CC, now part of the Essex County Management; and pundit Andy Tharp, from Mogador Wanderers.

Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens Reopens After Nearly A Decade

Described as ‘the finest woodland gardens in England’, the 240 acre Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens estate, situated to the south of Horsham, opened to the public on Saturday April 6th. This follows two years’ extensive work on the Grade 1 Listed gardens and on site facilities by new owner Penny Streeter OBE and her team. This is one of the largest UK garden restoration projects for nearly 30 years.
On Press Day, Susy Radio’s Dave King spoke to Penny Streeter’s son, Adam, who told us more about the reopening of the site after nearly 10 years of closure. Dave first asked him how he thought the press launch had gone..
