Photo shows Susy Radio presenter, Charlie Shakespeare with Arthur Edwards MBE, The Sun newspaper’s Royal Photographer.
The Mayor of Reigate and Banstead’s chosen charities have benefited from a fundraising event with The Sun newspaper’s Royal Photographer, Arthur Edwards MBE.
As the country’s longest serving royal photographer, he spoke to an audience about his work, and showed photos he’s taken of the Royal Family over the years.
The event took place at The Harlequin Theatre on Friday and was hosted by Susy Radio’s Charlie Shakespeare.
The event formed part of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council’s celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Proceeds from Arthur Edwards’ talk went to Age Concern Banstead and YMCA East Surrey, which are Councillor Jill Bray’s chosen charities for her Mayoral term.

Digital Platform Improves Air Turn Process at Gatwick
Aircraft turnarounds are being transformed at Gatwick Airport thanks to a new digital platform.
The AirTurn platform allows quicker communication between ground handlers and air traffic controllers about the turn process. Ground staff can update the target off block time directly onto smartphones; updates on baggage loading, refuelling or other aircraft preparations are immediately relayed to the control tower and Eurocontrol. This results in more accurate estimates of take-off time being provided to the Network Manager.
Previously, changes to aircraft turn events were updated through paperwork and radio communications.
