Merstham House Fire

Several homes in Merstham suffered severe roof damage following a house fire on Saturday afternoon.  Six fire engines attended the scene at a row of terraced houses on Worsted Green at the junction with Sunstone Grove. 

Susy Radio’s Neil Munday spoke with local residents Charlotte and her Mum Rachel, and Graham Norris who has set up a support group to help those whose homes have been damaged.

‘Rebel’ the Rosy Starling – a rare visitor spotted in Crawley

‘Rebel’ the Rosy Starling is a rare visitor and has taken up temporary residence in a Crawley garden.

The owner of the garden, @LittleBirdy22 (Karen) has been posting regular updates on Twitter about Rebel’s activities.

He spends most of the day in the tree, and goes to roost with the flock of starlings which also visit the garden.
He has taken a liking to red seedless grapes!

The latest we have is that ‘Rebel’ has now moved on so if you spot him in your garden, or have any other news, please let us know #SusyWatch

Merstham CC win a thriller at Horley

Week 4 of the League season saw Merstham CC win a thrilling game against Horley by 4 runs.

There was Sunday success for two of Horley’s younger players, but South Nutfield drew a Saturday blank.
