With council tax bills due to arrive, Sussex and Surrey residents are finding out that their bills have increased by 4.99%.

This means that a Band D property in West Sussex will pay £85.59 extra while in Surrey they will pay £87.76 more.

Leaders from both authorities have said the increases are due to huge pressures on their budgets including the increased need in social care services.
