Surrey Fire and Rescue Service Needs You!

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is excited to announce that we are now welcoming applications for volunteers. We are looking for people who are passionate about fire safety, helping others and being part of a committed and friendly team.

Our volunteers play a vital role in making a real difference across Surrey, supporting community safety initiatives such as Safe and Well visits, helping at public events and promoting fire prevention advice. Volunteers work closely alongside our experienced firefighters, gaining valuable skills and helping to keep Surrey safe.

David Nolan, Area Commander for Prevention and Strategic Response at SFRS, said: “Our volunteers are absolutely crucial to the delivery of our key safety initiatives. You will be joining a brilliant and supportive group of people – all with one aim: to help keep the people of Surrey safe.”

As a volunteer, you’ll gain valuable skills such as First Aid, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Adults and much more. Individuals from all walks of live are invited to join, all we ask is that you’re over 18, enthusiastic and committed to making a difference! No prior experience is necessary.

If you are enthusiastic, and keen to support your local fire service, we would love to hear from you. Volunteering with SFRS is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills and give something back to the community.
