Man Charged After Police Officers Were Assaulted in Crawley

A 43 year old man has been charged with multiple violent offences after three police officers were assaulted in Crawley on Saturday.

Mohammed Rasool resisted arrest at a property in Gossops Drive where he assaulted the officers, causing significant injuries before fleeing into a nearby property.  He was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts each of actual bodily harm and non-fatal strangulation.  All three officers needed hospital treatment.

He has been remanded in custody to appear today before Crawley Magistrates.
