Plans have been approved for the development of land at Sandcross Lane in Reigate.

Reigate and Banstead Borough Council has approved the building of 300 new homes including 65 units of assisted living accommodation. The development includes three traveller pitches, and a replacement scout hut together with a country park and landscaping.

At the Council’s Planning Committee Meeting last Wednesday, concerns were raised by the local residents’ association about the unsuitability of the site for development and the existing inadequacy of local healthcare provision.  Lucie Beckett, the Agent for Miller Homes said the development would “help deliver much needed affordable homes in the Reigate area” and make a strong contribution to the Council’s five year housing land supply.
