The Chief Executive of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, has announced her retirement after 37 years in the NHS. Angela Stevenson will retire later this year.
She began her career in the NHS in 1988 as a nurse in Glasgow, ultimately taking up the role as Chief Executive of the Trust – known as SASH – over three years ago having previously served as Chief Operating Officer from 2015. Angela paid tribute to the “amazing” staff at SASH and said “it’s been an honour to have been able to work with so many talented and professional people”.
SASH runs East Surrey Hospital in Redhill and provides a range of outpatient and diagnostic services at Caterham Dene, Crawley and Horsham Hospitals.
