Crawley Town’s co-owner, Preston Johnson, has resigned in protest over the club’s recruitment choices.

The American, announced his departure in a post on X on Saturday.

He said new investors were taking over the parent company and “have a different vision of the future”.

Crawley begin the new League Two season away to Grimsby Town on 2 August.
